The project
Training that supports the electricity grid.
India has set ambitious goals to expand access to electricity nationwide, improve supply quality and develop renewable energy. The state of Madhya Pradesh plans to renovate and upgrade its electricity distribution network to improve performance, reduce losses and better integrate renewable energy. Against this backdrop, EDF International Networks received FASEP funding to improve the performance of Madhya Pradesh's electricity network. GraphicStream contributed by developing network management training modules for teams at Madhya Pradesh Power Management Company Limited (MPPMCL).

BElectric is a suite of five training modules for the maintenance and operation of high- and low-voltage networks in India.
Scenarios that can evolve
Each module was delivered with numerous preconfigured scenarios and a scenario editor, allowing the end customer to freely add or remove scenarios in each application.

Electricity networks are essential infrastructure throughout India
They are vital to energy security, universal access to electricity and the development of renewable energy.
Funded by the French government, the project began in April 2018. Its aim is to develop an adaptation plan to improve MPPMCL's electricity network, which serves 12 million consumers in Madhya Pradesh, with three priorities: reducing power losses, better integrating renewable energy and improving network operations through an automated SCADA control system.
Electricity losses are an issue throughout India. This demonstration project, focused on reducing losses through measures with a rapid return on investment, has generated interest in other states.
